Lab Tour
Food is an essential part of human life. The quality of food impacts health and well being of mankind. Growing awareness of toxic contaminants in food and their health impact has necessitated sophisticated analysis of food & food products. Food Laboratory at AES meets the requirements of a modern sophisticated food analysis laboratory. At AES we look at various aspects of food testing that includes safety and quality. AES has extensive experience in analysis & detection of toxic residual contaminants like Pesticides, Heavy metals (arsenic, mycotoxins, veterinary drug residues, Polyaromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH), Poly-chlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs). Complete microbiological examination of food and food products is undertaken in our microbiological laboratory. Apart from this various quality parameter and nutritional analysis of food products are also carried out. At AES we believe in deploying a comprehensive range of state-of-the-art analytical techniques in order to support its clients increasingly stringent quality and safety standards. Quality at AES goes beyond scientific excellence and correct results. Process optimization now allows for very fast turn-around times. High investment in state-of-the-art equipment provides all the capacity needed to meet customer requirements even in high season or in urgent cases.
Recognitions from organizations like EIC and APEDA enable AES in providing analytical services to export-oriented units for exporting food items to EU, USA and
other parts of the world. Extensive analytical packages are available as per the importing requirements of EU and USFDA.
Apart from testing of food items, AES is also involved in the testing of packaging materials. Not only must the packaging retain its integrity and have the correct physio-chemical characteristics to do the job, but it must also not affect the product by causing taints or loss of quality. AES carries out various migration studies (global, overall & specific) to ensure that the packaging material is suited to come in contact with the type of foodstuff it is intended for. Migration studies are carried out as per requirements of the Indian, EU and USFDA regulations.
